onway: along with onway – how long have you been on board?
Michele Blank: I have been working at onway ag since April 2021.
What tasks does your role include?
In my role as a member of the operations team, I take on a wide range of tasks. This includes customer support, where I handle tickets submitted by our clients regarding both technical issues and our company-specific products such as the MPP Sponsoring Portal or Macman. I am also responsible for server management, ensuring smooth operation by performing regular updates. Additionally, I provide technical support over the phone, assisting and advising our clients on various issues. Occasionally, I participate in site surveys to ensure the correct placement of access points. This involves carefully analyzing the local conditions to guarantee optimal coverage. These diverse responsibilities require both technical expertise and a solution-oriented, customer-friendly approach.
What do you particularly enjoy about your job?
I especially value the wonderful team I get to work with. The work atmosphere at onway ag is truly exceptional – everyone supports each other, and collaboration is characterized by respect and appreciation. It motivates me greatly to be part of such a team where everyone can contribute their strengths and we work together to find solutions.
Which technologies and topics do you come across in your job?
In my daily work, I engage with various technologies and areas, including: • Linux: As an operating system, it forms the foundation for many of our systems. • Git: Version control and management of code and configurations. • VMware: Management and maintenance of virtual environments with vCenter and ESXi. • Automation: Using tools like Rundeck to automate recurring tasks. • Hardware management: Setting up new laptops for employees, including installing and configuring the required software. • RMA repairs: Handling and managing repairs, primarily for our routers deployed at clients – from diagnosis to successful completion. These technologies help me work efficiently and purposefully while ensuring high-quality service delivery.
What professional expertise are you bringing to the table?
I transitioned into IT through adult education at ZLI (Zürcher Lehrbetriebsverband ICT) in Zurich. Originally, I come from the electronics field, which gives me a solid technical foundation. This combination of electronics and IT knowledge enables me to quickly understand technical connections and adapt to new challenges.

onway: What are your plans for the future, what do you definitely want to achieve with onway?
Michele Blank: I want to continuously expand my knowledge and pursue targeted training in areas that are particularly relevant to onway ag. My goal is to build more expertise to make a significant contribution to the growth and development of our company. It is important for me to progress in both my personal and professional development.
