EDUBERN Adopts Secure BYOD Solution from onway
Following successful implementations in the cantons of Valais and Thurgau, EDUBERN, the specialist department of the Canton of Bern, is now also relying on onway's proven Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) solution. Students at EDUBERN can now benefit from secure, convenient, and data protection-compliant wifi access using their personal devices.
Thanks to the innovative solution, there is no longer any need to store Microsoft passwords on mobile devices, which is an important security consideration, especially for devices that may be lost or replaced. Encrypted wifi access is granted following a one-time, user-friendly onboarding process, after which learners' personal devices connect fully automatically and only for the duration of their membership in the educational organization.
The improvement will be most noticeable in day-to-day use: the cumbersome SMS registrations that were previously required are now a thing of the past. These had repeatedly become necessary due to the MAC address randomization used by modern smartphones, an effort that is now completely eliminated.
With this decision, EDUBERN sends a clear signal in favor of digital efficiency, data protection, and user-friendliness in education, powered by onway.
